Helen is a contemporary Artist who specialises in painting and textiles.
She graduated in 2005 with MA - Fine Art at Winchester School of Art.
Helen investigates the phenomena of Synaesthesia, seeing sound as colour, line, and form, which she interprets with paint and mixed media to create her “Sound Paintings.”

This unique Sound Painting workshop will introduce participants to the theory of Synaesthesia, hearing sound and music interpreted in the form of colours line and form. After an introduction to the work of 20th Century artists, participants will experiment with drawing and mark-making techniques linked with sound using a selection of colourful art mediums. Listening to site specific recordings of acoustic instruments played in and around the natural landscape and within ancient sites, participants will create their own Sound Painting on a canvas.
