Salisbury's Community Gardens

This week, we are celebrating the amazing public gardens around Salisbury to mark Community Garden Week (3rd – 9th April). Salisbury has a variety of astoundingly beautiful outdoor gardens and lots of projects for volunteers to get involved in!

Arundells 'Roots & Shoots'

📍 Cathedral Close

Very much a work in progress, this traditionally designed garden hidden away in the heart of the city has brilliant views of Salisbury Cathedral and local connecting rivers. This wonderful walled space focuses on sustainability throughout.

The Secret Garden

📍 Bourne Hill

Tucked away behind the Wiltshire Council offices, the walled garden has lots of flower beds, a lawn area and pond to enjoy. It's an ideal spot to take a quiet break during the working day.

Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing

📍 Hulse Road

A community pollinator friendly garden planted at the main entrance of the city leisure centre. A joy to see on the way to your swim or gym session!

St Clements Churchyard

📍 Mill Road

A non-traditional, wild, rambling, full of charm people-focused garden with a story. Volunteers slowly record its history while carefully tending it for the benefit of wildlife residents.

Longhedge Community Garden

📍 Longhedge Village

Launched on ‘The Big Plantathon Day’, this public garden consists of a series of raised beds in the heart of a new housing development just outside of the city.
