Salisbury Hospice charity’s Christmas Tree Collection campaign is back for 2021, so if you love having a real tree at Christmas but hate the New Year clean up this could be what you need.

For a donation, volunteers will collect a tree and then take it to be recycled.

The return of the campaign follows the huge success of last year’s initiative during which approximately 1000 trees were collected and recycled. The project raised almost £13,000 of vital funds for the hospice, together with £1067 for local charity Love for Louis.

Covid-19 has led to Salisbury Hospice having to cancel many of its key fundraising events in 2020 so this year donations are needed even more.

It's not just Salisbury Hospice that benefits though, this year they will also make a donation of 10% (after costs) to the local charity Charlie’s Star which provides breaks in Cornwall for bereaved parents of children under 19.

Collections will take place between 8th and 10th January 2021 and this year the area they serve will be expanded to include all SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5 SP6 and SP9 postcodes.

The collection also helps the environment as all of the trees are chipped and recycled as animal bedding, or composted.

To have your tree collected and recycled after the festive season, register it at www.charityxmastreecollection.com by clicking HERE or call 01722 416353, by 4th January 2021.
